This sermon is about the concept of Communion, which is an key aspect of the Satanic life. It covers a lot of ground, and may raise more questions than it answers. This is a good thing, because the topic is the important one of how Satanists interact with other Satanists and with the outside world. Communion is the explicit usage of power against another person. I have described previously how the Satanist views all his or her interactions with other people as being based on power, the specific power here being the ability to get what you want from other people at minimum cost to yourself. To that end, the Satanist manipulates people to the best of his ability, and particularly does so by exploiting the weaknesses that he finds within them. This is *always* a conscious form of behaviour for a Satanist. A naturally selfish person is not necessarily a Satanist, although their behaviour may superficially look the same. Instead the Satanist is always aware of what he is doing, and indeed can be said to train him or herself to do it better. This can be done through a process of internal ritualisation of his behaviour - essentially the Satanist has his own private techniques to (in the modern parlance) get "in the zone" for his behaviour towards others. A successful Satanist will always appear confident, but it is an important matter here not to confuse the cause with the effect. The appearance of confidence is the external effect; the cause is the explicit, perhaps ritualised, but always conscious, desire and willingness to have people do what you want. It may seem odd at first that this is called Communion, but a moment's thought will show that the name illustrates the ultimate truth - this *is* how Satanists "commune" with the outside world. The name, however, also takes on its more conventional meaning when applied to the way that Satanists interact with each other. In this situation manipulation is harder, because any Satanist of any value will understand what is going on and resist it. Instead, Satanists sometimes accept each others' desires and help with their fulfilment. Of course, there is often a price to pay for any such help. No one should be under the impression that Satanists are naturally friendly to each other. But deals can still be made, and mutual satisfaction achieved. If you think about it, all interactions with the Satanic powers are described as negotiations - people "deal with the Devil", or even "sell their souls". This aspect will be mentioned again in the next sermon, but the same is true with the interaction between fellow Satanists. We may all be "one in communion" with Satan and with each other, but our own individual desires are paramount and have to be satisfied. Finally, even if nothing particular is desired, there is still much that can be gained from ritual acts that worship the darkness within fellow Satanists. I have a lot of personal experience of this in my own past, where it was used as a technique to strengthen the bonds within a group. But note, again, that this is not some kind of friendly mutual appreciation. The acts are of worship, intense and to be taken seriously, and quite explicitly directional in their nature. They may be followed by other acts in the opposite direction, perhaps as payment, but that is a separate issue to be settled between the participants involved.
