IÕd
like to wish you a wonderful new year. In 2011, I will be leading and teaching
street photography workshops in some amazing venues around the world. As the
New Year begins, I wanted to let you know about this list in case you may want
to join one of these very exciting workshops in some of the most visually
compelling spots in the world.
In
all of my workshops I focus on helping each student find their own photographic
voice and vision in the spirit of making spontaneous, authentic images of daily
life in the context of the wonderful venues where the workshops are held. My
workshops offer students practical, technical, philosophical, and human tips
and encouragement in their quest to become more comfortable photographing
people and the life of a city. Most importantly, I promote a spirit of
fraternity and mutual cooperation between my students—there is no
competition. Students are encouraged to take risks in order to grow as visual
communicators.
This
yearÕs workshops will be held in Rio, Buenos Aires, Seville, Istanbul, Paris,
New York, Prague, and Venice.
If
you are interested in learning more about a course please click on the city
name and you will be taken to a workshop description including dates,
registration and tuition information. On my website, you will also be able to
see galleries of studentsÕ past work, as well as student testimonials about the
individual workshops.
Please
feel free to share this information with others, and please feel free to get in
touch if you have any questions. If youÕd like to get out of the cold this
early winter, the upcoming Rio-Carnival, Buenos Aires, and Seville workshops
offer great opportunities for a wonderful winter escape.
I
hope this will be a great year for you full of much joy and fulfillment with
your photography. With warm regards, Peter
