Hi All,

It's a long email,  I know, but I'm feeding back on all your feedback, setting the scene for this year.

Thanks to everybody who has sent in an Expression of Interest to perform at Neurum Creek Festival this year.  EOIs have now closed.  An email will be sent this week acknowledging all of those who applied, so if you don't receive one please let me know - your application may have gone astray.  We are aiming to have the program finalised by the beginning of June, so stay tuned.

Last year we asked everybody who attended the festival for feedback, to which many of you enthusiastically replied.  Below are some of the main comments that were sent in, and some of our ideas and ways we are addressing any concerns.  We're always open to further comments and suggestions, as well as volunteers (ie 'Hey, Angie, I think you should have bah, blah, blah, and I'm just the person to do it for you....")

Keep the festival the size it is/Don't let the festival grow - this was quite a common comment - the good news is that we've pretty much reached our size limit for the festival, and plan to keep it that way.  Like you, we don't want an enormous festival, we like the intimacy, so yes, the plans are to keep it at around about the size it is.

Children's Activities - there was some feedback around putting on some children's activities, yet at the same time there were comments about how it was great that there weren't activities and kids were free to run and climb trees and play at the creek.  We've had some volunteers who'd like to run an activity, so we're considering adding something to the program.  Any other volunteers who'd like to run something, please let me know.

Catering
- the Bush Retreat and the Festival are looking into how improvements can be made on this.

Recycling/Bins - good points.  We'll discuss with the Bush Retreat how we can implement this.

Cocktail Hour
- people loved it, but more advertising was needed.  We take this on, and will attempt to get the message out around some of our more quirky activities as much as we possibly can.

Programs - there was a suggestion to have hard copies of the program.  The program was available to download - the reason we have no hard copies is due to both environmental and budget issues, but we're happy to look at this issue again.

Toilets
- hmmm.  People like them up the hill, down the hill, near the stage, away from the stage.  The message seems to be that you all like toilets, you just like them in different spots.  Maybe each year we'll rearrange them, keeping everybody happy at least once every few years.......

Crap Raffle - you love it, we love it, and it'll be back.  Lots of you actually expressed disappointment that you didn't win - sorry, we can't fix this!

I hope we've adequately covered all of the feedback we've received.  We'll keep working to improve the festival, while at the same time keeping all of the things that make it special.  Thanks for taking the time to email us with your thoughts.  We really appreciate it.
